Well, that day has come ! If we want to survive now, we must have sense of responsibility and protest for principles /values rather than narrow sectorial interests. The Haredi protest must be aimed not just against the draft as far as the Haredi youth is concerned. That sort of protest is inadequate because it lacks any strategic component. It could be viewed as another political spin. The only valid protest, in my view, is to say openly: We are opposed to the draft of Haredi Jews exactly as we are opposed to the draft of irreligious Jews. For us, every Jew matters. We do not differentiate between blood.

We are for peace. We want peace with the Arab world. We ask to stop the illegitimate Zionist wars. We reject the heretical Zionist idea even if the entire state, G-d forbid, was a Haredi state. 

If every Haredi Jew who attended the protest in Jerusalem would have written a letter to the UN in which he would have stated the truth behind our opposition to the Zionist ideology it would have been more effective rather than having this sort of protest.
